Describe a tourist attraction that very few people visit but you think is interesting

You should say:

  • What the place is
  • What people can see there
  • Why only very few people visit there
  • And explain why you think it is interesting

One lesser-known tourist attraction I find fascinating is Panam City, located in Sonargaon, near Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is a historic city that dates back to the 15th century and served as an important trading and administrative center during the Mughal era.

Visitors to Panam City can see beautifully preserved old buildings that showcase a blend of Mughal and colonial architecture. The narrow streets are lined with abandoned houses, each telling stories of a vibrant past. There are also remnants of old bridges, canals, and a unique drainage system, which reflects the advanced planning of that era.

Despite its historical importance, very few people visit Panam City because it is not widely promoted as a tourist destination. Additionally, the lack of modern amenities, such as restaurants or proper facilities, discourages many visitors. Some might overlook it because it is overshadowed by more famous attractions like Lalbagh Fort or Ahsan Manzil in Dhaka.

I find Panam City fascinating because of its rich history and the sense of mystery it offers. Walking through the deserted streets feels like stepping back in time. The place has an eerie charm, and its quiet ambiance provides an opportunity for reflection and appreciation of the country’s heritage. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more attention and care.
